Renewable Fuels Action Summit
Our country is dangerously dependent on foreign oil and renewable fuels are one way of paving a path toward energy independence that creates a tremendous boon for the North Dakota economy. For these reasons, I co–hosted a Renewable Fuels Action Summit on June 12, 2006 at Bismarck State College.
I invited leaders in renewable fuels industry, research and policy–making to discuss how North Dakota can leveraging provisions in the new Energy Policy Act of 2005, along with state incentives, to grow and attract investment in our renewable fuels sector to provide clean, renewable energy to an energy starved nation.
I am pleased to provide the presentations from the summit that have a wealth of information to assist you in moving forward to grow our state’s renewable fuels sector.
Growing fuel in our fields paves a path toward energy independence and creates new markets for our farmers. I hope we can continue to have this important discussion.
